The future of healthcare
is neurodiverse.

Brian Wasser, M.D.

Brian Wasser, M.D. (he/him) is the founder of Neurodiverse Health.

I am a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician. I hold a Doctorate of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed my residency at Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency. I am a medical doctor trained in the allopathic tradition, but with a focus and background in nutrition, herbalism, integrative medicine, and mind-body medicine.

My approach to health is rooted in the idea of interconnection. No symptom, condition or experience exists in isolation. Everything that happens in the body is connected. In addition, our physical health is very much connected to our emotional and social well-being, to the health of our families of origins, of our culture, of our ancestors, to the health of communities, and to the health of the natural world around us, including our food systems.

I am passionate about providing care for neurodivergent patients. With a combination of professional expertise and personal lived experience, I am committed to fostering the health, support and well-being of neurodivergent people, and to promoting greater personal and societal understanding of the unique, complex and often misunderstood medical issues we face.

My Mission

I have seen the ways in which autistic and neurodivergent adults are not receiving the care they need in traditional healthcare settings. Often misunderstood or dismissed, many face significant barriers when navigating their personal health journeys.

My commitment is to ensure that access to quality, identity-affirming, and comprehensive healthcare is a reality for autistic adults. By bridging the gap between lived experience and medical expertise, we can redefine what healing and support looks like for the neurodivergent community.

I started Neurodiverse Health out of a lifelong commitment to caring for neurodivergent patients. For too long, neurodivergent individuals—especially autistic people—have been disadvantaged, marginalized, and actively harmed by many systems in our society, with the healthcare system often being one of the most challenging to navigate. It is my mission to create a safe, affirming space that counteracts these systemic barriers and provides the deeply understanding, holistic care that you truly deserve.
